Your Doubt is Hindering The Growth of Your Faith

For doubt is like a weed to your faith that prevents the seeds to grow or produce a fruit.

Scripture - James 1:6 (NIV)

"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”

Observation

This verse emphasizes the importance of faith when we seek wisdom or guidance from God. Doubt can make us unstable, just like waves that are constantly shifting. Doubt can lead us to fear, anxiety, anger, and others. True faith is unwavering and anchored in trust in God’s character and promises despite what we are facing right now.

Application

  • When you pray, believe that God will answer your prayer. Remember that an answer from God is not always a ‘Yes’, it could be ‘No’. But God always answers your prayers.

  • Be mindful when you’re in doubt. Sometimes, when you’re in doubt, we’re easily got carried away by our thoughts.

  • Ask God for a wisdom to handle your doubts. God will give you generously wisdom to you.

Prayer

Lord, help me to trust You fully without doubt. Strengthen my faith so that I am not tossed around by fear or uncertainty. I believe that You are faithful and will guide me in all things. In Jesus' name, Amen.
