God Disciplines The Ones He Loves
The way God disciplines us might look like a punishment to us, but godly discipline will bring us closer to God.
Scripture - Hebrews 12:11 (CSB)
No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Observation
God disciplines us because He loves us. As our Father, God teaches, and guides us to be a better person. Disciplines will shape your character. And our character is being children of God. When we do something wrong, God will correct us by telling that what we did was wrong and showing an example the right thing to do.
I believe that God trained us every single day to be more discipline spiritually. A correction from God in your life is a sign that God loves you. But most people might take this as a punishment. Listening to the voice of God takes practice
So whatever happens in your life, if it brings you closer to God then you know it’s actually good for you. Because God’s way to discipline us will bring you to His Heavenly Kingdom.
Application
Read your Bible every day even it’s just a verse.
Ask God what area in your life that needs to be improved or to be disciplined.
Have a daily conversation with God. God wants to listen from you even He knows everything.
Have a strong will to change. We will never be perfect but we can be better than before. Maybe we will mess up again tomorrow, but we cannot give up. Always keeps trying. Be persistent about it!
Prayer
Father God,
Help me to be more discipline as Your will. Teach and guide us how to listen to Your voice so we can teach others to be more discipline too. Forgive us for not obey to commands and forget You. Thank you for always loving me. In the name of Jesus we pray.
