Prayer For Guidance Before Reading The Bible

Heavenly Father who reigns in the Kingdom of Heaven,

thank you for Your grace so I can start reading God's words. I pray for Your guidance so that my heart is pure and my thoughts are right.

Direct my eyes to the truth of God's words, and open my ears to listen to God's voice alone. Holy Spirit, guide me to understand every word of God I am about to read so that His words become a light for my path, strength for my soul, and living wisdom in my daily life.
